Personalized vs. System Supported DAM
Since the foundation of the Ferag AG, 50 years ago, we always attached importance to filing technical documentation, company events and human resource happenings. Herefore we use photos, audio- and film- files.
Thanks to the good development – from a garage company to the leading supplier of complete solutions for the world’s printing industry, with more than 1500 employees worldwide - the single media documents became big object collections.
Those collections were ministered with utmost accuracy and care for more than 45 years by one single employee.
The large number of analog and digital data was administered through different search indices. In the year 2007 these one employee, “our Freddy” retired.

Because of the retirement we had to re-think the management of all our media assets.

After a thorough evaluation on our site, we decided to go for celum IMAGINE, because it congruently fulfilled our most important expectations.
Set-up and implementation
In January 2008 we set up the system at our headquarter in Hinwil, on our own.
After the successful implementation and the smooth establishment in the first year, we started to implement celum IMAGINE in all our departments.
In the near future we want to add all our sites and this way set up a world wide DAM system for our company.
